Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Parkhomchik stated that Belarusian authorities work with each enterprise to implement automation and robotization in production. The statement came as a new manufacturing line for AGM batteries started serial output in Pinsk. The project is part of broader efforts to increase the share of locally produced components in battery assembly.
The factory, operated by the 1AK-GROUP holding, produces starter lead-acid batteries. With the launch of AGM production, the localization level for these batteries reached 95%. This reduces dependence on imported parts.
Automation systems on the line
Director of 1 AK-Plastik LLC Alexander Troyanovsky said the project maximized automation of technological processes. Twelve robotic systems handle tasks such as removing products, installing embedded elements, packaging, and preparing raw materials. The robots replace not a single worker but a group of people, according to Troyanovsky.
The company plans to continue automating. Troyanovsky noted that automation improves working conditions and increases productivity. The line is designed to run with minimal manual intervention.
The launch follows a government push to modernize manufacturing. Parkhomchik earlier emphasized that authorities work individually with each enterprise to select appropriate automation solutions. No timeline for further expansions was provided.
